Weekend WoW-ness

I did absolutely nothing this weekend and it was wonderful. Then again, do I ever do stuff? (:

This upcoming weekend I do have a pretty packed one.

Thursday night I'm going to a PaintBar with the girls. It looks like a lot of fun. Basically drink wine and paint whatever that day's theme is--for us, it's going to be sunset at the docks. I will definitely take a photo of my finished product. I've never painted, so I don't expect it to be good, HA!

Friday, going to a soccer game with Nelson, Trisha, my dad and my uncle (all soccer fans minus myself...going for dad :D). It's Portugal vs. Mexico, and I hope that Portugal spanks Mexico's ass :D The game starts at 8pm I believe, but we're leaving here around 4pm if we can to avoid mad traffic and hopefully not get horrible parking. I will bring my camera, so hopefully our seats aren't too "nose-bleed" to get some decent shots.

I also think I have something Saturday, but for now I can't remember what the hell it is! I dunno if I can bring a camera to the PaintBar but if I can, I will.

I did play a crapton of World of Warcraft. I hadn't really been playing much the last few weeks, trying to enjoy the nice weather, but this weekend I played a LOT to make up for it, ha-ha. We recruited a couple of new folks into the guild that seem pretty darn cool, so hoping they stick around :D

This week marks the first week of summer classes at work, which means there's a lot of hustle and bustle on campus, which is good. When it gets too quiet, it becomes quite boring, and the days feel like they never end. Also, since I worked an extra hour and a half at graduation, I get to leave at 4pm today instead of 5:30pm which makes me giddy. It really is the small things in life!

I never did get a chance to actually post those photos from Vermont, so I think I'll work on those.  I also plan to post Chapter One to a book I'm working on. Sooooo if you are bored and like reading paranormal fiction, stay tuned for that one.

Otherwise, things are quiet! Have a sparkling Monday!

Writing
No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.”

So yeah, I’ll be posting that chapter when I get home. I liked this quote because the other day I was reading through an old book I was writing ages ago, and one scene actually made me sniffle a little. I think it’s quite true.
