So to distract ourselves a bit, Trisha and I are hanging out with the girls tonight. We’re all going out to dinner at Maggie McFly’s, who has some of the best food and drinks around here, and then we’re going to go watch the 11PM showing of Magic Mike XXL.

Now, I wasn’t all that into the first one, so I’m not exactly hip-hip-hooray-ing for this one. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I totally get the appeal. Sexy bodilicious men ripping their clothes off … who doesn’t like that? Lol but the first movie had way too much of his ‘bad serious acting’ in it and very little ‘get naked and dance’ in it lol. So I am curious to see if this one will be more story-driven too, or if they’ll throw in a lot more dancing.

Channing is a very attractive man, but his ‘dramatic’ acting skills are really not on par with the professionals. He really needs to stick to comedy, because that is really where his forte is. That love movie he did a while back … I laughed through 98% of it. He just made it so cheesy. So, it will be interesting …

No real big plans for the 4th weekend. We’ll probably just hang out at my brother’s house as we do most weekends and have a small cookout for just us. He did mention something about maybe taking the boat out on Sunday on the Connecticut river, but I don’t know if we’ll actually do that. It has been two years since I’ve been on the boat and we hung out at the little island on the river … so maybe. It’s just such a huge pain to lug everything into it, do like 4 trips with all the stuff/people. Heading there it’s not a problem and everyone is excited/pitching in to help …but to come home, suddenly people are scarce and not as helpful so it’s just my bros and I lugging it all lol … it’s a pain.

If my dad wants to do it though, we’ll definitely go. If he doesn’t, then I’ll stay at the bro’s and hang out with him :D

And briefly … summer hours at work started this week and already we’re crazy. It’s nice to have Friday’s off, and it really is only an extra hour a day, but it feels like an eternity at work Monday – Thursday … I think it’s that all students are gone so it’s just us staff folk and it’s so quiet and boooooring. I’ve been keeping busy writing, but some days I am so bored the creativity is just stalled so I just stare at my screen all day lol … I know some people BEG for this kind of environment but I hate being bored. There’s only so much web surfing, tweeting, shopping one can do lol My wallet always takes a big hit in the summer lol –

Speaking of, I did buy a new iPad air 2. So far I’m loving it. The image quality when watching movies and television shows is top notch, it’s crazy when compared to my old iPad (which is about 4 years old). I haven’t tested much else on it yet because I just got it yesterday, but I’ll have to try out some silly games and see.
