[Topic] Life Update [TV Show] Dominion
Sooooo … I promised to write this yesterday, but spammed a bunch of other stuff instead.

Life.

Pretty much exactly the same. I know, crazy. A whole year has passed and no major big changes.

Actually, there might be one big change I didn’t mention here. Diane got engaged.

I won’t bore you with how I honestly feel about the whole thing, but she asked me to be her Maid of Honor and I agreed, so I can’t be overly against it, right? Lol. Even if I were (which I might be but not for the reasons some people might think—just don’t think he is right for her and I don’t think she actually loves him—short and simple version)…not exactly ‘proper’ nor ‘kind’ to say no when asked … They even said on all the sites (because I googled of course) “Unless you’re dying, don’t say no!” hahaha (okay I ad-libbed).

She has picked a date, October 2nd 2016, which gives us some time to ‘relax’ before the really big planning/shopping happens … which we will probably start in early-mid September. At least I get to enjoy the summer stress free :D

The wedding party is small, which is good. I really can’t imagine trying to corral a large party (It’s Me, Trisha, her baptism godmother, and a good friend of hers). Of course, with every wedding party there is that ONE bridesmaid that really wanted to be the MoH … and yeah. We’ve already met her via Facebook and talk about strong, overpowering personality. Diane was all “Just ignore her. You run the show.” LMAO … so at least she is an aware bride.

But yeah … that is really the ‘biggest’ news/change/shocker in recent months (they got engaged on Valentine’s Day and the only reason he proposed is because he has to move for his job and her parents said she isn’t going ANYWHERE with him unless she has a ring on her finger – see? It’s just all the wrong reasons).

Otherwise, I am still in school. I finally declared a minor (because I had to) and picked Sociology. I figure it goes well with History and I enjoyed the two classes I’ve already had. I have two more ‘undergrad general ed’ classes I have to take (a bio with a lab—gross—and a comm class)… I am taking Bio/lab in the fall + 1 Sociology course. Then all I have left are 12 credits in Sociology, Comm class and my FINAL History senior seminar class. Then I am done. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but working full time I can only take 2 classes a semester and yeah … it’s ages away lol.

TV Show – Dominion (SyFy)

In other news … Dominion’s second season premieres tomorrow night. I have to admit, I am shocked SyFy picked up the show again. Even last year I had my doubts because they have a habit of not giving a show its chance to shine, but I think the fans of this show are just so loud lmao … I follow a few of them on Twitter and we’ve all been all kinds of crazy. Plus the producer/creator of the show is really awesome and actually responds to the fans, which I think helps them fall even more in love with the show through him.

For those who might be curious, the first season takes place 25 years after the movie Legion. Here is a much better written synopsis from Wikipedia:

“God vanishes and in his absence the archangel Gabriel and his army of lower angels wage war against mankind, believing them to be the cause of God's absence. Although most higher angels remain neutral, Gabriel has convinced the lower angels, the "dogs of Heaven," called "eight-balls" by humans for their black eyes, to fight alongside him. 25 years later, mankind survives in a few fortified cities. The Archangel Michael has chosen to side with humanity against Gabriel, living among humans in the fortified city of Vega (once Las Vegas) until the time a prophesied savior appears to save mankind.”

The acting is phenomenal for a SyFy show (admit it, you’ve seen Sharknado!). The plot is constantly tense with action, political intrigue, love, hate, corruption, good vs. evil (and all the gray in between), and it’s just … fantastic.

Can you tell I am very excited for tomorrow’s premiere … ha-ha.

Yay for declaring a minor! I know your degree seems like it's far away when you are limited by having to work, but keep plugging away & you'll get there.

Yay school. Sociology does seem like a good combination with history. I'm glad to hear you are enjoying your classes.

Weddings can be stressful but also fun as long you ignore the drama (even weddings you are iffy on). The wedding is pretty far date wise - I know that's the norm but it probably makes it into an 'event' much more and adds to the stress. At least you have a summer off!

Thanks! I am too. It can be stressful, but it's a good kind of stress. I love reading all of this fascinating information I know I'd never take the time to really read *on my own (edit) which is sad. :D

Yeah they can. I helped an old friend plan hers ages ago (I was just out of high school). Her MoH was overseas so I was kind of the 'stand in' and OMG it was so much work (mostly because she wanted to do everything herself...decor, etc).

In the end though, it really was a lot of fun, so you are totally right! <3
