Ah, Tuesday … this week it is my Monday. I took an extra-long weekend and I have to admit, it was great. I actually feel relaxed today, which is rarely the case after just the weekend (usually need a full week or two lol).

I did have the most laid back weekend though, so that might be why.

Thursday night we did go out to Maggie McFly’s and had a great time chatting (and oddly it got quite detailed lol). I learned a bit too much about my fellow female friends, lmao, but it was a lot of laughs, so that’s the plus. I think as we get older we’re becoming a lot more comfortable with ourselves and sharing. We never really had ‘girl’ talks like you always see in the movies. I’d watch them and be like “Psha, girls don’t REALLY talk about that stuff, this is so lame.” In a way, I guess we’re all late bloomers ha-ha.

We then went and saw Magic Mike XXL (review/thoughts below).

The movie, plus the previews meant we left the theater close to 2 in the morning lol and all the girls were exhausted. I am such a night person … I was skipping to the car lol.

Slept in on Friday, and then we decided to go to the bro’s house early so we ended up spending the rest of the weekend there. It’s like a mini-get-away because my brother doesn’t have a house phone, so unlike our house where the phone rings off the hook and no one lets my dad REST … there’s just peace and quiet. I think it’s why we love going there.

I ended up buying a gaming laptop so I could hang out with the folks downstairs AND play my video games and that way spend time with them and not take away from things I like doing. It's been working out great. Brought that over so I spent a good deal of Friday and Sunday playing WoW.

Saturday we had a small gathering of just family at the bro’s house. It rained here but thankfully he has a huge dining table. We were able to all sit around it and share stories, have great food and spend time with one another. It was Diane, her Fiancé Flo, her parents (my aunt and uncle), my Godmother and her hubs, my whole family, Trisha and our good friend Mike.

And lastlyyyyy … yesterday I spent the whole day with the pops (: It was nice. We went and picked up my new cruiser bike from the bike shop. Got this photo of him checking it out on my bike rack outside the store (the chemo makes his feet cold, it’s why he wears the socks with the sandals :D). A couple of coworkers and I are going to start bike riding (for pleasure hence the cruiser and not a mountain bike lol). So we all got bikes and this one is mine. Isn’t it purty?! <3 I'll make an 'update' type of post later on today (;

My new camera came in, and I am quite excited. While I love my huge Nikon, it’s essentially … huge. I wanted something lightweight to take on trips or even just when I go out … that takes DSLR quality (or close to, because none ever do) photos. So, I did a lot of researching, and kept coming up with this one. I did take some photos this weekend, which I’ll post later. Mostly close-ups of flowers cuz who doesn’t love that? :D

In other news, we celebrated my dad’s 62nd birthday this weekend (and we hope for many more). It was actually last Tuesday, so he receive many cheers :D But on Friday night we went out to Flatbread Pizza, which boasts of all organic ingredients, which is always good. The pizza was banging, and then we had strawberry shortcake whoopee pie afterward with strawberry ice cream. It was quite yummy.

Saturday I didn’t do much of anything except sleep and play WoW. I’m still feeling under the weather, and it’s a crap feeling. It’s been going on for weeks now. I am too stubborn to go to a doctor, and I know that’s bad … but yeah. Last thing the family needs is more bad news, lol and not to say what I have would be bad news, but that just seems to be the luck our family has (which is ironic).

Sunday we all got together at Danny’s house to watch the FIFA 2014 Final. I personally didn’t watch it since my teams were out (Portugal and USA), so I was watching Bones reruns while they watched the game. We had some lunch together, and Nelson got a cake for dad’s Bday, so we sang Happy Bday again and had some cake (: Ended up going home close to 8pm.

I was going to play WoW, but like many things lately in my life, I’m losing interest in it. I think it’s a summer thing, because it’s very quiet in the guild with people going away or spending time outside (instead of stuck on their computers :D). I’d rather be outdoors myself, so I really can’t blame them. Instead, I watched a bunch more Bones reruns and watched another four episodes of Reign.

That show makes me have wicked dreams (Reign). It usually means I am too invested in the show, and will probably have to stop watching it, because the dreams are so real I wake up feeling way too disoriented. It’s odd, I know. It’s what happened with Vampire Diaries. I was having some crazy whacked out dreams to the point I would wake up feeling awful. I had to stop watching the show ): I don’t get why some shows do that to me and others have absolutely no effect on me (like I can watch Bones a billion times and have no problem). I think it might be because they get me sucked in so emotionally, that I actually start to feel for the characters (which is a good thing, but yeah…bad).

The other show that has me sucked in but thankfully isn’t giving me dreams is Dominion. I really do enjoy the show. I hope SyFy doesn’t pull it because I love SyFy shows but they rarely make it past season 5 it seems. Right know Haven is filming its 5th season and that’s another show I love … so I hope it’s not the last one lol.

So yeah … that was my weekend. I’ll post some photos from the new came later (if they didn’t come out like ass :D).
